Information we collect

When a parent signs up, we collect:

• The parent's name and email address
• The parent's time zone, detected from the browser, so stories arrive at bedtime
• About each child: first name only, age group, whether the child is a boy or a girl, a favorite interest, who tucks them in at night, and optionally a pet's name and a brother's or sister's first name

We never ask for a child's last name, photo, birthday, address, or school. Payment details (card number, billing address) are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

We also keep a record of the emails we send you (for example, which story went out and when), and basic technical information that websites normally receive, such as your browser type and pages visited.

How we use it

• To write each child's name and details into their nightly story and email it to the parent
• To manage your subscription, free trial, and payments
• To send account emails: welcome, trial reminders, payment notices, sign-in links, and milestones
• To keep the service secure and working, and to understand how it is used so we can improve it

We do not sell or rent your information or your child's information to anyone.

Children's privacy

Information about a child is provided only by the parent or guardian who holds the account, and is used only to personalize that child's stories. We collect the minimum needed (a first name and a few preferences). A parent can review, change, or delete their child's information at any time from their account page, or by emailing us. Companies that help us run the service

We share information only with service providers that help us operate Sleepy Angel Stories:

• Stripe (payments and subscription billing)
• Supabase (secure database and sign-in)
• Vercel (website hosting)
• Resend (sending emails)
• ImprovMX (forwarding emails sent to our addresses)
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure our advertising (see “Cookies” below)

These companies may only use your information to provide their services to us. We may also share information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

Cookies and advertising

We use a small cookie to keep you signed in to your account. On our public pages (not your account pages), we use the Meta Pixel, which uses cookies to tell us when someone who saw our ads visits the site or starts a free trial. How long we keep information

We keep your information while your subscription is active. If you cancel, we keep it for up to [24 MONTHS] so you can come back and pick up where you left off, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires.

• Change your child's details, pause stories, or add a child from your account page
• Unsubscribe from story emails using the link in any email
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or to delete it, by emailing hello@sleepyangelstories.com

Security

Your information is stored with encryption in transit, and access is limited so each family can see only its own information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your family's data.

Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we'll email you before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
